Political strategist and commentator Benji Ndolo has mocked Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) after he was excluded in the list of speakers during the Madaraka Day celebrations.
Raila arrived to a rousing welcome by the crowd at the function held at the Narok Stadium, Narok county on Saturday, but was not given an opportunity to address the nation.
Reacting to the same in a tweet, Ndolo teased the former Prime Minister for being denied the chance to speak, finding it very funny.
"Baba amehutubia? Kenya sihami tena cc SG @edwinsifuna #HappyMadarakaDay," he wrote. This loosely translates to: "Has Raila made his speech? I am not leaving Kenya).
In his speech, President Uhuru Kenyatta reiterated his government's commitment towards delivering in its agenda and wiping out the corruption headache.
He said that he will take it upon himself to see that the house that was left to Kenyans by their forefathers is swept clean of matters to do with graft and looting of public resources.
On his side, Deputy President William Ruto noted that such yearly functions will no longer he held in Nairobi county ad was the case before, but be shared among counties across the nation.
Also present were National Assembly and Senate house leaders, Amani National Congress (ANC) boss Musalia Mudavadi and s host of other notable leaders.
