A mother of political revolution could be looming in the entire Gusii region following the release of millionaire businessman Don Bosco Gichana.
In an interview recently, Don Bosco, who pleaded guilty to money laundering and fraud before being released from a Tanzania prison, said he will use his planned homecoming to bargain for political partnership.
"We have a homecoming and we shall mobilise over a million people in Kisii and Nyamira. I will use it as a condition to hold talks with like minded people," he said.
And one of the offers on the table is believed to be a political marriage with Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, a self proclaimed Gusii spokesperson, who has intensified campaigns to succeed Governor James Ongwae.
And on Monday, the two leaders met in Mombasa, an indication of a looming political partnership, anchored of 'youth philosophy'.
"Kisii titans. With Don Bosco, my great brother," wrote Don Bosco on his Facebook, without delving into much details.
Before his release, Arati is said to have used his close connections with Raila Odinga to negotiate with Tanzania President John Magufuli.
Mr. Bosco has already hinted a possible run for a county seat with deputising Arati being a much speculated option.
