Residents of Kiamokama watched a free wrestling match on Thursday evening after a woman stormed her neighbor's house and beat her up.
It is alleged that Dorine Monyangi sent a love text message to Elizabeth Moraa's husband.
"Moraa borrowed her husband's phone to call her elder sister only for Monyangi who is an adjacent neighbor to send a love text to the man's phone. Moraa read the message and rushed to Moraa's house to ask why she sent the love text message," said a resident Evelyn Ntabo.
Ms. Ntabo said Moraa attacked Monyangi while her parents were witnessing helplessly.
"Monyangi's ageing parents didn't manage to rescue her from the thorough beating. The victim's lower jaw was dismembered by angered Moraa," she added.
Area Nyumba Kumi chairman Enock Onderi said the victim was rushed to a local hospital for her dismembered jaw to be fixed.
"Monyangi could't defend herself during the fight since Moraa overpowered her. It is unacceptable for people to fight instead of solving differences peacefully," he noted.
Onderi said Monyangi has never been married and this might have tempted her to write a text message to Moraa's husband.
