Lydia Kemunto, a lady who posted how she had been brutally assaulted by her boyfriend, has finally gotten help after her touching story went viral in social media.

Kemunto who turned to Facebook to give her story, touched many Kenyans as they called for arrest and prosecution of the culprit.

She also posted her pictures on social media with appaling and visible marks of the assault she endured from her six-month boyfriend.

The boyfriend who was identified as Neville Jakababa is reportedly said to be a student leader at Technical University.

"My name is Lydia Kemunto. I have been in an abusive relationship for the past 6months. I have been brutally beaten by my boyfriend on 3 occasions and the most recent one happened on Saturday. The guy’s name is Neville Jakababa. I reported to Industrial Area Police. OB51/25/3/2019," said the post.

The ODDP has promised the victim of justice noting that they have gotten in touch with her to start legal proceedings against the culprit.

"We have been able to get in touch with the victim. All necessary legal steps shall be taken to ensure justice is done," the ODDP tweeted.

Cases of violence between lovers have increased in the recent past.
