Harambee Stars striker John Mark Makwatta has sealed a mega-money deal from Buildcon FC of Zambia to Kuwaiti.
Makwatta, who is among the top strikers in the Harambee Stars squad has moved to Kuwaiti Premier League side Al Nasr Sporting Club.
However, he had three months remaining on his contract, which his current club, Al Nasr Sporting Club had to part with Sh1 million for him to be released.
“It feels great, this is the right platform I have been dreaming to ply my trade,” said Makwatta.
Makwatta’s Sh12 million move to Al Nasr Sporting Club will make him among the top highest paid Kenyan footballers. He will receive Sh1 million per month.
The 23-year-old moved from Ulinzi Stars in March 2017 to join Buildcon in a two-year deal. His time at his former club was successful.
“I enjoyed my time at Buildcon and I thank them for everything. I leave happy and I wish them luck in everything, they will always be in my heart,” he added.
