A family is living in fear after unknown people dumped a skin and a head of a slaughtered goat at their homestead.
The incident happened on Thursday night at Nyangarore village in Gachuba, Nyamira County.
Kelvin Onyancha said it was at 10 pm when family members retired to bed when a dog was heard barking outside.
"I was shocked to find a sack tied containing a skin and a head of a slaughtered goat dumped 5 meters from the kitchen," he said.
Onyancha said he informed family members who were already a sleep to come and witness the incident.
He said the family has never wronged anyone to be threatened.
"We are in fear because it seems someone is offended with us. If there is anyone my family members has wronged should come we solve any differences so that we can live in peace," he said.
Area assistant chief, Benjamin Makori condemned the incident and said investigations have been launched to know the people behind it.
"I will ensure whoever who dumped the skin and the head of the slaughtered goat at the homestead is brought to book. There is no need for someone to start causing fear to the God fearing family," he said.
