The DP has been visiting various sections of the country in a bid to market his Presidential bid, but he has been missing in action in ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Luo Nyanza stronghold.

Luo Nyanza consists of Kisumu, Siaya, Migori and Homa Bay Counties. Last month, Ruto reportedly attended an invites only wedding of two prominent Indian families in Kisumu.

He traveled without his motorcade in order not to raise attention.

“I have just heard that he (Ruto) is around, being hosted by the two families, but we are not in the picture,” Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili was quoted by The Standard.

But now, Ruto has been urged not to leave Nyanza behind as he continues to market his 2022 presidential bid across the Country.

Nyanza branch Jubilee Party secretary General Steve Biko urged DP Ruto to reach out to all communities as he steps up his Presidential bid ahead of 2022.

'We want to see a more inclusive approach exhibited by Ruto as he lobbies rest of Kenyans to back his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta,'' Biko wass quoted by the Standard.
