The leaders claimed that Raila is only benefiting alone from the historic handshake and poor supporters have nothing to celebrate about.

Kefah Moenga, a youth leader from Manga condemned Raila saying he sold his supporters when he agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Raila knows the fruits of the handshake alone while supporters who stood by him are in the dark. He must be ashamed meeting the same people he implicated to be corrupt," said Moenga.

"The meeting between Raila and Waiguru won't benefit opposition supporters who were teargassed. Raila is only meeting his enemies after the handshake. He is enjoying while poor supporters are suffering with anger and cold," said Thomas Nyamote, a Kisii County based politician.

Samuel Omwando, a Kisii based ODM leader said Waiguru's meeting with Raila brings to an end the long rivalry between the two leaders.

"I am confident that Waiguru has forgiven Raila and vice versa. We need a nation where leaders are united working together to boost the lives of the people," he noted.

Omwando noted that in politics, there is no permanent enemies and Kenyans should learn from the top leaders to forgive each other and move on with life.
