Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka argued that DP Ruto won't expect a walk in the park to win the presidency in 2022.

He said NASA leader Raila Odinga's influence in the ruling Jubilee party should not be taken for granted.

"Ruto has a big headache to deal with Raila's influence in Jubilee party to win the presidency in 2022. Raila's entrant into government will see DP Ruto sweat to make it to State House," said the lawmaker.

Onyonka said DP Ruto should not put much hope in his close allies who have been attacking Raila unnecessary.

He called upon DP Ruto to reconcile with Raila for the sake of his presidential ambition.

"As it stands now Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta are together, without doubt, Mr Kenyatta may end up dumping DP Ruto in 2022. Therefore, it is important for the Deputy President to make peace with Raila failure to which he will regret alone," he added.

Onyonka was speaking on Friday in Tabaka, South Mugirango.
