After the hotly contested 2017 election, Pyego has made a comeback into the political trail endearing himself to the electorates through attending social fora and fund drives in the community contrary to his initial political campaign style.

In what many see as premature political campaigns, political analyst Daniel Wanga accounted that the Dr Kogo is a smart and accomplished development oriented leader and his political style is not easy to resonate with compared to a well-oiled campaign that is easily influenced.

“The resounding factor of Kogo's opponent is the financial muscle that has awakened him to restlessly crisscross the constituency to counter Pyego. Kogo must watch and carefully utilize time and opportunities available to counter his opponent that is mudding waters which eventually may cost him in 2022,” said Wanga in Eldoret.

Pyego first staged his political aspiration on Jubilee ticket in the 2017 general election where he lost to Kogo at nominations.

He opted to vie as an independent candidate but Deputy President William Ruto intervened and asked him to step down in favour of the Jubilee candidate, Kogo.

Even after failing to clinch the seat, Pyego has never surrendered in his political aspirations and is currently taking no chance by capitalizing on sitting MP's loopholes.

Perhaps this will be a competition that will enable the sitting MP to utilize the resources available for the benefit of the electorate.
