A married woman has gone into hiding after she was busted in the act with another man in a bush.
The incident happened on Thursday in Bobaracho, Kisii County.
Patrick Asiago said he has been suspecting his wife Edinah Marinda of having illicit affair with men outside the wedlock.
"My wife's behaviour changed suddenly when she started hawking ripe bananas. She could return home late at night," said Asiago.
The father of three said on Thursday he laid a trap on his wife after she went to fetch water from a water spring about 200 meters away from their homestead.
"She went to fetch water at 7:30 pm claiming that this was the right she won't find other women fetching. I asked her if I could accompany her but, she refused," he noted.
Asiago said he picked a machete and followed her from behind.
"I reached the spring and found the jerrycan abandoned. I called her in vain until I decided to search her in a nearby bush. I was shocked to find her naked doing bad manners with a man who fled the scene immediately before I could see his face," he noted.
Mr. Asiago said the woman also disappeared into darkness when he tried to attack her.
Area assistant chief Mirieri Mokua said the woman has been disrespectful to her husband.
"Marinda has grown horns since she can insult her husband before. She is the type of women I won't condone in this area," said Mokua.
