Kibwezi East MP Jessica Nduku Mbalu is serving her second term in office.
Mbalu was first elected in 2013 on a Wiper Party ticket.
She was re-elected on August 8, 2017.
Mbalu is among the most vocal female Kamba politicians.
She is also a close ally of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Mbalu was born on August 23, 1976, in Makueni County.
She schooled at Ituuko primary school and later joined Mavuti secondary school in Makueni.
After her secondary education, Mbalu enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at the University of Nairobi (UoN).
She also studied her Master’s Degree in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi.
Mbalu also holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the UoN.
Before joining active politics in 2013, Mbalu was a lecturer at the Catholic University of East Africa.
She is a staunch Christian.
Mbalu is married with children.
She likes traveling and meeting new people.
Political pundits argue that Mbalu is among Kamba politicians to watch out in the 2022 general election.
There are claims that the Wiper MP could contest for the Makueni gubernatorial or Senate seats in 2022 polls.
