Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga is a man you cannot ignore his presence. The NASA leader has a signature symbol he always performs when he is paying last respect to iconic leaders.
The opposition leader always lifts his hand in the air, as a sign of respect, whenever he is viewing the bodies of fallen heroes.
Although not always, Raila also carries a traditional whisk when he attends most burial ceremonies.
During his tour to Ghana to pay his last respect to former UN Secretary-General Koffi Annan on Thursday, Raila did the same and it is evident he had much respect for him. Thereafter, he took to social media and posted the photo.
“Today in Accra I paid my last respects to a great son of the African soil, Kofi Atta Annan. Mr. Annan dedicated his life to finding peaceful solutions for humankind and his efforts and dedication will especially be forever appreciated by the people of Kenya. May his soul forever rest in eternal peace,” he said in part.
