The woman accused of killing a re-known actor Jamal Gaddafi has been arraigned in court.
Grace Kanamu appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Charity Oluoch at Mavoko Law Courts in Machakos County on Thursday.
However, no charges were read to her.
The prosecution asked the court for five more days in order to complete its investigations.
The court gave the prosecution until December 18th to complete their investigations.
Oluoch directed that the accused be detained at Mlolongo police station.
Kanamu will appear in court on December 18th when the case will be mentioned.
"I direct that the accused be locked up at Mlolongo police station until 18 December after which she will be returned for mentioning," Oluoch said.
However, her defense lawyer Cliff Ombeta requested the court for permission so that she is taken to hospital for medication which she was granted.
Kanamu was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing to death her boyfriend Jamal Nassul Gaddafi.
According to a police report, the suspect committed the crime after a heated argument arose between them.
"It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gaddafi (39), was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namu (40). She picked a knife and stabbed him," reads in part a police report seen by this writer.
