While Uhuru is expected to attend a youth conference on August 12th in Kisii, Moi will be meeting grassroots leaders besides attending a homecoming party for a Kanu MCA in Kisii two days later.

While the visit by the two leaders is not suspecious, their close working relationship has hugely divided Jubilee party.

"We will be hosting the President a day to inter county games," Kisii Sports minister Duke Mainge said.

Moi, who is keen to run in 2022 presidential race, will be touring the region for the first time.

Jubilee leaders from Nyamira have dismissed his visit, which was confirmed by youth leader Ronoh Kipchumba, adding that it won't sway the region.

"He is free to visit at any time but the fact is, William Ruto is our preferred candidate," said George Mosiori.

Last weekend, Uhuru met Moi at Kabarak and details about their meeting remains scanty.
