President Uhuru Kenyatta and his ‘elder brother’ Raila Odinga are angry at vocal senator James Orengo.
The two leaders are reportedly concerned by Orengo’s political remarks saying they are creating divisions and suspicions over the handshake.
President Uhuru is particularly concerned with claims by Orengo that he had met him for four hours on political discussions.
He was also angered with reports from the senator that his handshake with Raila is a political game plan to see the two leaders work together in 2022.
On the other hand, Raila is said to have been irked by Orengo’s move to introduce debate over the impeachment of Deputy President William Ruto.
Orengo, while speaking in Ugenya during a campaign rally, said they will use article 150 of the constitution to kick out Ruto.
This remark gave Ruto’s foot soldiers political fodder to take on at the opposition accusing Raila of using the handshake as a springboard for his 2022 presidential race.
