Nyamira County Assembly Deputy Speaker Duke Omoti has faulted Acting governor Amos Nyaribo for sabotaging development in the county.
Omoti claimed that Nyaribo has been at loggerheads with county employees since Governor John Nyagarama left the county to US for treatment.
“Nyaribo has been sacking employees and frustrating county officers who are dedicated to work to develop the county.
"It is time Nyaribo should focus on service delivery to the people of Nyamira instead of fighting workers,” he said.
According to him, Nyaribo has panicked because he may not succeed Nyagarama in 2022.
“Most workers in the county are not loyal to Nyaribo and now he is using dubious means to sack those not loyal to him.
"County health workers are on strike and Nyaribo as the acting governor has done nothing to ensure the health workers get back to work,” he noted.
He challenged Nyaribo to stop locking offices for county officers who have refused to dance to his tune.
