Deputy President William Ruto has been told to forget clinching Presidency in 2022 even if he continue dishing out money at fund drives.
Kisii senator Sam Ongeri said Ruto won't win the hearts of the electorates by dishing out money.
Ongeri maintained that Ruto has a right to traverse the country every weekend but, Presidency will not be his in 2022.
"Let him continue giving out money thinking he will be voted for presidency. We won't deny the money because he is giving what he has stolen from us," he said on Sunday at Mesabisabi grounds.
The ODM senator assured that the Gusii community won't rally behind DP Ruto even if he tours the Gusii region daily.
According to him, the community's stand will be known months to 2022.
"Some selfish individuals are misleading DP Ruto inviting him every weekend in Gusii region attending funerals. As they continue hosting him they should remind him that the community won't side with him in 2022," he added.
He warned local politicians against engaging in politics based on political parties saying the electorates want development.
