E-bill SMS Service
The E-bill message service allows you to access your electricity tokens and general account balance and the bill due date by use of your mobile phone. Here are the steps:
1. Create a new SMS message.
2. Enter the first digits of your KPLC account no in the message body. Example, if your KPLC account number is 123344-02, just type 123344.3. Then send the message to short code 95551.
4. In a matter of seconds, you will receive automatic feedback with all your account details. The service works for the networks of Kenya. A ksh5 charge fee applies.
You have to note that it is very important to enter a correct KPLC account number of your meter and follow the procedure above in order to obtain positive and accurate results.
Despite the use of SMS services, there are other ways of checking like use of E-bill mail service and also the bill details are usually dispatched in your postal address.
