As Kenyans join the rest of the world to celebrate Christmas that symbolises the birth of Jesus Christ, Viola Jematia Kibet is a sad woman, on the contrary.
This is after a man allegedly disappeared with her motorbike in mid-November.
Jematia who lives in Kasoiyo village in Baringo county says he gave the motorbike to Dickson Chepkwony, his worker, as usual only to later received the sad news that it was missing.
She was told that Chepkwony, her worker, had given another man the motorbike for a short ride but he disappeared with it.
The suspect was later identified as Kelvin Kiprop Yatich from Tambach in Baringo North.
The matter was immediately reported to Kabarnet and Kabartonjo police stations. However over a month now since it was reported, Jematia says she has not received any information from the police on the progress of investigations.
She has been trying to trace the motorbike with registration number KMEB 362M x150 Boxer using her own means, including by posting o Social Media, but all has been in vain.

For the lady, the motorbike was her only source of income, making it hard for her now to run her daily activities.
"I urge members of the public to alert me once they see my motorbike. Call or text me directly through 0704413999," she pleaded.
Jematia believes the suspect didn't travel far with the motorbike and must be within North Rift counties of Uasin Gishu, Elgeiyo Marakwet or Trans Nzoia.
