A widowed is crying for justice after her husband’s 2 bothers raped her before they kicked her out from home on claims that she killed her husband.
This happened on Monday at Nyangena in Nyamira County.
Eunice Nyabonyi claimed that her husband died 2 years ago and she has been living happily since then until early this month when her brothers-in-law told her to leave the home.
“I lived happily with my husband until he died and left me with 4 children who are currently in school. My husband’s brothers have turned against.
"On Monday night they raided my house raped me several times before the evicted me from my house with my children. All they want is to inherit the land and other properties my husband left behind,” she said.
Confirming the incident area chief Charles Ayuma said the matter has been reported to his office and the men who are plotting to kick the woman out of her home have been summoned to appear in his office on Friday.
“Kwamboka reported the matter to my office and I have instructed Nyumba Kumi officials to bring the selfish men to office on Friday so that they can give an explanation why they want to evict the widow,” he said.
He said he will not allow widows to be mistreated saying anyone who will be found will face the full force of the law.
The administrator assured that no one is going to succeed in evicting the widow from her home.
