The County Government of Mombasa embarked on a beautification process targeting to clean-up the coastal city.
Under the leadership of Governor Ali Hassan Joho, the County administration first directed that all buildings in the CBD should be painted Egyptian blue and white colours to resemble the ocean.
The exercise commenced well before BestLady Cosmetics moved to a Mombasa court and successfully challenged the directive on July 12.
Through the Department of Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works, the County Government is beautifying Mombasa streets by replacing cabro and cleaning up the streets beside facelifting Old Town by repainting the Swahili houses.
A broken sewer line along Kongowea is as well being repaired.
