Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has warned Deputy President William Ruto that he risks losing President Uhuru Kenyatta's support in his (Ruto) 2022 presidential elections.

This comes at a time when a section of Ruto's allies have been heard going across the nation drumming up support for the DP, despite Uhuru's directive against the same.

Kega now says that Uhuru could be growing angry and uncomfortable as the group has been planning to succeed him yet he is still in power, which is to some extent offending.

"Uhuru is obviously losing his cool.

"You do not expect him to remain calm and keep his initial promise of supporting the DP yet his (Ruto) people are plotting to take over a seat he (Uhuru) is still acquiring," noted Kega.

The MP was speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show Wednesday morning.

He advised the DP to call his troops back home, urging him to wait for the opportune moment when they will be free to go across the nation and spread his gospel.

Kega told Ruto to not worry about his chances of winning the seat, adding that he will most likely have Uhuru's endorsement upon the open of the campaign window if he behaves.

"Uhuru personally promised to lead his (Ruto) campaigns when the elections near.

It's now upon the DP and his allies who have been crisscrossing the nation in early campaigns to settle down and wait for the right moment," he added.

However, Ruto has been personally avoiding the 2022 debate though some of his allies have been campaigning for him in his presence.
