Muthama wants the varsity student killers to be speedily identified, tried and sent to prison for life.

The former senator said the student killers should never go unpunished.

“The government should not let the killers walk free after committing the gruesome murder to an innocent student and her unborn baby,” Muthama said.

He addressed the press in Tala, Machakos County on Wednesday.

Muthama asked the police to use all means in the hunt for the culprits.

He said Kenyans want to see justice being done to the deceased and her family.

“We have so many cases of brutal murders whose perpetrators have never been brought to book and we want to see them being arrested and tried in court,” he said.

The politician asked elected leaders to push for justice to families whose kins have died innocently in the hands of killers.

Investigations into Sharon Otieno’s murder continues even as Migori Governor Okoth Obado who has been adversely mentioned in the killing distances himself from the murder.

On Tuesday, Obado was grilled by detectives in connection to the murder.

Obado’s Personal Assistant Michael Oyamo who has been linked to the killing is in police custody.
