Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has again taken a swipe at the 'Kieleweke' faction of the ruling Jubilee Party, accusing it of working closely with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Under the leadership of nominated MP Maina Kamanda, the group has declared its opposition to Deputy President William Ruto and his 2022 presidential bid.

Nyoro is on the other side allowed to the Tanga-tanga team which is supporting the DP and fighting any quarters appearing opposed to him.

The vocal MP has now accused Kieleweke of hiding behind their criticisms of Ruto to drum up support for Raila's presidential bid in the 2022 polls.

He wants the group to come out openly.

Nyoro claims that far from what is being said that Tanga-tanga is disobeying President Uhuru Kenyatta in favour of Ruto, the team is fully in support of the President.

"The President is with us. We love and support him 100 per cent. Kieleweke should sell their candidate Raila without hiding," he was quoted by the Standard on Thursday.

This comes as more MPs who have demonstrated neutrality from both sides lament of being coerced to declare their stand, among them Starehe MP Charles Njagua.

Njagua said that he has been approached to join either group, but ironically claims that some of the MPs using Uhuru's name in political gatherings are not even in touch with him.

"They keep asking us where we belong and telling us that the President has said this or that. Some of these people do not even have access to the President," he said.
