Here are some of the signs that show you are really giving up who you are for their sake.

1. You say 'Yes' without pausing to think

Giving the nod on their requests is a good thing. There are some requests that will, however, require that you at least stop to think and ponder about the pros and cons of the deal. If you ever find yourself just saying yes to all that they request, then, it is highly likely that you have already given up who you are. You will find yourself just finding it gravely difficult to say no whatsoever.

2. You can't speak your mind

Whenever you find it hard to speak your mind at their sight, it is highly likely that you have lost or are in the process of giving up who you are and what you stand for. If you can't say no because you are afraid you may hurt them, then, trust me, you have become their clone already.

3. You think your preferences aren't cool enough

Letting them choose what is good for you could be a romantic gesture. However, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you think if you make any decision then it will be kind of insulting, then, you have probably converted or resigned to being a clone. It is peculiar.

4. Your plans are centered on their interest

Once you start using their interest as a reference point to your plans, then you really need to find yourself. Making decisions basing on their interest is just dangerous and unbecoming. 

5. You stop working on your personal goals

The best relationship is the one that gives you the time and space to be yourself and work on your personal goals. If your relationship does not allow for that, it just means you have been turned into something else altogether.
