Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has come out to reveal those behind his controversial phone call conversations leaks.
Sonko came under fire recently after a phone call between him and his Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu leaked online.
The video of the phone call showed even Waititu’s contact number and many were angered that such was a private call between the two and was a breach of privacy to give it to the world of social media.
Speaking on Wednesday morning at Milele FM, Sonko said he is not the one who leaked the conversations but his ‘boys’.
“Wenye kuleak hi hawa vijana wangu, hawa wenye wanapiga piga makamera maana mimi huwa nao kila mahali,” Sonko said.
In the leaked video call, Waititu was heard pleading with Sonko to release his wife after she was arrested running a construction site without approval from the Nairobi County Government.
The Nairobi County boss, however, did not explain whether he okays his ‘boys’ action or has asked them to stop it.
