For those who didn't know, the 'Welewele' hitmaker was a radio presenter at NRG RadiO where he used to co-host the show alongside Mwalimu Rachel.

However, the celebrated singer finally opened up why he had to quit his job as a radio presenter at NRG.

He went off-air without notice and left his radio fans wondering whether he was fired or not.

In an interview with Willy M Tuva of Mambo Mseto, Timmy revealed why he decided to leave his radio career when he had just started getting a positive vibe from his fans all over the country.

He said that he had to leave NRG Radio because his music career demanded much of his time.

He also said that music has always been his number one desire apart from Radio.

"I love radio but my first love is music. Music has been paying my rent, its what keeps my mum happy and comfortable. Music is a jealous business and you cannot share it with something else.'' Timmy said.

He continued by adding that, ''I stepped back from the radio like two and a half months ago, being on the radio was inappropriate for my brand as a musician. I am no longer a presenter I am now a musician fully, 100 percent.''
