Nairobi Women representative Esther Passaris has found herself on the receiving hours after she defended Kenyan musician Akothee over her conduct in Malindi.
The controversial singer received criticism from Kenyans after photos of her on stage went viral for wrong reasons.
The singer’s pictures with lewd gestures on stage triggered sharp reactions on social media.
While appearing on KTN Morning show on Thursday, Passaris took on Kenya Film Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua saying that Akothee didn't break any law during her concert.
She went ahead to say that Akothee holds no moral authority to teach morality to children, adding that she inspires Kenyans in different ways.
Kenyans on social media did not buy Nairobi Women Representative's argument and instead trolled her over the remarks. ;
Some Kenyans termed Passaris' remarks as reckless, adding that the comments are embarrassing and very unfortunate to come from one of those holding public offices.
