Speaking on Monday, the renowned lawyer lashed out at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Public Prosecutions for not being serious in carrying out their duties.

He said that the nation has agreed in unison that corruption remains and will always be a negative for the country, which calls for seriousness and commitment in slaying the corruption dragon.

However, he noted, that two entities and the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) have been treating Kenyans to drama instead, which will not make any achievements.

"I think we all agree that we need to do much more with the question of graft in this country. We need more action; I am not persuaded that the drama sometimes the DPP, DCI and EACC bring about corruption is legitimate," he said on Citizen TV's Day Break.

He stressed on the need for the DCI to carry out proper investigations on those through to have participated in graft, to avoid the shame that follows their acquittal in court.

He said that it is time the nationnthrew in everything in an bid to come out of the menace once and for all, by meaningfully combating it.

"I think the way to fight graft is to meaningfully fight it; prosecution is a science and one must do the investigations. It does not mean if you do not treat someone with decorum then you will not have them convicted," he added.
