Harambee Stars' striker Michael Olunga has called upon his teammates to put up a spirited fight when they face Senegal in their final match in Group C.
Olunga, who scored twice when Kenya staged a comeback against Tanzania, has exuded confidence that the team will beat Senegal when that time comes.
The striker said that Harambee Stars have what it takes to sail through to the next round of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
He noted that the team has quality players to outshine Senegal.
“Senegal is a team like any other. They are human beings and are bound to make mistakes. If we play as we did against Tanzania, then I trust we will get the three points and advance to the knockouts,” Olunga said in an interview after their 3-2 victory over Tanzania on Thursday night.
The Kenyan side is expecting to outsmart Senegal in the last match.
The team is hoping to bag all the three points to enable it to proceed to the next round of the competition.
Harambee Stars' head coach Sebastian Migne has, however, challenged the team to prove to Africa that nothing is impossible when they face Senegal.
“So far, we have done our best, but we seek more. Remember, we have nothing to lose,” said Migne as quoted by Standard.
