Kiprop who hails from Simat in Kapseret constituency is currently under suspension by the IAAF after his urine samples tested positive for the banned susbstances, EPO.

In an interview with Citizen TV aired on Monday, Kiprop maintained that he did not use the banned substances.

"If you know you didn't dope like for my case I do believe that one day there will be some answer to this and not so far away," he said.

On a most recent incident in which a video of him and a woman leaked online, Kiprop said; "The only iniquity I Asbel Kiprop had was drinking and an extramarital affair."

"I had to come out clear and let go, I had to confess so that I remain without anything to hinder me when facing this doping case," added the athlete who is now training alone due to the doping allegations.

Kiprop was awarded 1,500m gold medal when the original winner Rashid Ramzi tested positive for doping in 2008 summer Olympics.
