Ndile says the president is yet to act on some of his close allies who are allegedly linked to corruption.

The former MP said unless Kenyatta acts on top Cabinet Secretaries who have been linked to corruption, the whole exercise remains a publicity stunt.Ndile said while there is a new force in the war against corruption, there is no 100 percent political goodwill.“The president should go for top CSs some who are his close friends if he is serious in fighting corruption,” Ndile said.He addressed the press in Mavoko on Sunday.

The former MP further criticized the manner in which the war against graft is being handled

He said investigating agencies should focus more on the recovery of stolen public funds.

“Dragging people to court without recovering the money and proceeds of crimes they have made is a total waste of time,” Ndile said.

Ndile said graft can only be wiped out if there is 100 percent political goodwill.

Kenyatta’s government has stepped up the war on corruption.

In the recent months, several top government officials linked to graft have been arrested and arraigned in court.

Last month, Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu was arrested and arraigned in court over graft allegations.

The High court, however, temporarily stopped Mwilu's prosecution after she filed an application challenging DPP’s powers to prosecute sitting judges.
