Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria now claims that he has made a great achievement over the past one week.
The latter has been on the spotlight after a clip of him making remarks considered to question President Uhuru Kenyatta's leadership emerged.
Speaking at the Thika Stadium on December 31, Kuria suggested that Uhuru has forgotten the Central Kenya region on matters development.
However, remarks that have seen a number of leaders come out guns blazing in criticizing and condemning him.
In a press conference on Thursday, he said that the same has seen a number of former anti-Uhuru politicians from the region come out in defense of the Head of State.
He added that the same is a plus on his side, as he has managed to bring in more lieutenants to the President's camp.
"I am very happy that the likes of Martha Karua and Peter Kenneth are now defending the President after taking a position against him in the past," he said.
The two on Wednesday led a group of former Central Kenya elected leaders in a press conference, where they declared their support for Uhuru and his government.
Kuria added that he has already apologized to the President, though he maintained that his remarks were taken out of context.
