National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi has hit out at Jubilee lawmakers who have repeatedly attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta over his stand in the ongoing war on corruption.
The Suba South MP accused the politicians, who are all allied to Deputy President William Ruto, of undermining the presidency by criticising agencies which are constitutionally mandated to slay the dragon of corruption.
In an exclusive interview on KTN on Tuesday night, Mbadi mentioned Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri as the ring-leaders of the group "disrespecting" the President.
Murkomen and his team have expressed a lack of confidence in Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss George Kinoti and has consequently called for his sacking.
They claim Kinoti was being used by the Ruto's enemies to scuttle his 2022 presidential bid.
The National Assembly Minority Leader noted that Uhuru has desisted from responding to them since doing so would amount to demean himself.
"I understand the President's silence because he can't be exchanging words with Murkomen, Ngunjiri and other leaders," he said.
Mbadi, who is also the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) said although Uhuru has not scolded Ruto publicly over the issue, he was sure he has done so in private.
"I am sure the President Uhuru been talking to his Deputy and asking him to either control his 'attack dogs' or change his thinking," he remarked.
