The portrait drawn by Dehnow Pencils, shows Wanyama donning his English side Tottenham Hotspurs jersey.

The Harambee Stars Captain posted the portrait on Facebook and captioned it with a wide range of words aimed at encouraging the artist who came up with the amazing piece of art.

“In life many things don’t go according to plan. If you fall, Get back up. If you stumble regain your balance. Never give up. Thank you Dehnow Pencils for this amazing work, call him and order your portrait today 0796-892-533…..This man's talent is on another level,” posted Victor Wanyama.

Dehnow Pencils is remembered in football circles for having drawn the portrait of former Brazilian superstar Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, commonly known as Ronaldinho Gaucho when he toured the country in November last year.

Wanyama is one of the most celebrated football stars in the country. Over the weekend, he captained Harambee Stars as the team went down 1-0 against hosts Ghana in group F's last match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

Ghana topped the group with 9 points, as Stars ended the qualification campaign with 7 points.

Both teams qualified for the 2019 AFCON tournament to be held in Egypt between June and July this year.
