Excited Kenyans were left in stitches when President Uhuru Kenyatta made an impromptu stopover outsider Uhuru Gardens Primary School in Lang'ata.
In the brief stopover, President Uhuru bought bananas from a vendor, a rare act from a man holding such an office.
"Sasa hii ni ya breakfast. Weka huko," Uhuru said as Kenyans around the scene burst into laughter.
After sometime, Uhuru is heard asking whether any of is aides had carried money, a move that thrilled those present.
"Kuna pesa hapo? Eeh iko, unaitwa kuja," Uhuru told the vendor as the crowd cheered him.
After leaving the scene however, the peddler was left struggling with the onlookers, who attacked him to get the 'tokens' the president had given him.
Uhuru, like his predecessor Mwai Kibaki, rarely walks with money bags around, something that was synonymous with former President Daniel Moi.
