Inspector General Joseph Boinet was a subject of discussion in local Nyamira social media groups after a photo of him in new outfit emerged.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i had launched new police uniforms that saw Administration Police and Kenya Police merged.
And a section of social media users blamed Boinet's designer for issuing him with visibly oversized uniform.
"He had all the time and designers to make it look better. He is just horrible in those uniforms. I wish he consulted designers," argued Edna Kwamboka on Kitutu Masaba Forum.
Another user Daisy Mochama added: "The uniform should be fit in. He just looks confused and unattractive in the new uniforms. Should have retained the previous."
The new uniforms, blue in colour are expected to rolled in December 12th when the country celebrates 55 years of becoming a republic.
Mr Matiang'i has already rolled out other reforms in the sector including paying the officers house allowances unlike in the past.
