Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama is one of the respected leaders from Ukambani.

On 13th August 2017, Muthama tweeted a surprising message about the Jubilee government.
According to the tweet, the former Senator claimed he had a lot of things that he knows about the President and his deputy are evil.
"Just wait siku nitashika microphone kuitandaza ngoma ya uovu wa jubilee siku hiyo uhuruto hawatatoka ndani ya nyumba," he tweeted.
His tweet was like a warning to the two leaders who are running the government. It created an impression that there are plenty of bad things that the former Senator knows about the government. He, however, is yet revealed them to the public as promised.
Muthama has been strongly criticizing the Jubilee government since it came to power in 2013.
