Political commentator and politician David Osiany has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to realize his threats to deal with corrupt government officials.
Uhuru has been making such declarations during public functions, the latest scenario being during his tour of Kisii county on Wednesday last week.
Speaking on Wednesday, the former Rongo parliamentary hopeful faulted the Head of State for his unending lamentations, urging him to realize his threats.
"He has been saying that he is tired. Let him prove to Kenyans that he is indeed tired or corruption within his government by firing people," he said.
Osiany was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show Wednesday evening.
He also bashed Cabinet Secretaries whose dockets have been implicated in corruption, wondering why no effort to correct things are being seen.
The commentator stressed on the need for the CS to use their administrative powers to deal with heads of departments within their ministries named in the same.
"Let them use their administrative powers to deal with officials whose departments have been implicated. I wonder why they remain silent as if nothing has happened," he added.
So far, Cabinet Secretaries Simon Chelugui (Water and Irrigation), Najib Balala (Tourism and Wildlife), Henry Rotich (Treasury), and Mwangi Kiunjuri( Agriculture) are having by heir dockets investigated over possible involvement in graft.
