A middle-aged man Wilson Kithome Muinde was arrested on Tuesday allegedly attempting to steal just outside the Director of Criminal Investigation Headquarters in Nairobi.
According to police reports, Mr Muinde got himself into hot soup with a spare wheel from a car parked near the DCI Headquarters.
“Mr. Wilson Kithome Muinde aged 35 years was arrested yesterday and arraigned in court today for attempting to steal a spare wheel from a vehicle parked outside the @DCI_Kenya Headquarters,” posted DCI Kenya.
Muinde, who resides in Utawala, was arraigned in court on Wednesday and charged with an attempt to commit offences c/sec.389 0f the pekac code.
Nairobians came out in numbers to comment on his 'bravery' to steal outside the DCI Headquarters.
“People have no chills, just outside DCI offices? That took guts But reminds me here in Kitale a friend mobile phone was stolen by a man pretending to be a police officer who ran out of credit and borrowed the phone to call the OCS. Na hvyo ndo akaenda na simu,” said Kiprono Onorpik.
“That was a bold move. Stealing from DCI parking lot!!!” said Plabs George.
“Hii ndo hile tunaita kupiga mawe police station na kukimbia,” Willie Maritim.
“I thought displaying mugshots on social media is not allowed,” said Hiram Chomba.
