The vocal MP allied to Jubilee party said Gusii leaders should shun retrogressive politics.

"My appeal today to Kisii and Nyamira leaders whether elected or not, is that we must embrace peace. Let us unite and serve the electorates. Hatred politics based on clans, political parties won't help in developing the region," said Arama at Rangenyo on Sunday.

The former ODM rebel legislator said members of the community won't listen to any excuses from elected leaders in 2022 elections.

He challenged the leaders to step up efforts to fight graft which he said has delayed development in most parts of the country.

"As leaders we need to use public monies well to fund development projects. I don't wish to see any leaders more so from the Gusii community embezzling public funds. Let us be a good example among other leaders and build a good name," he insisted.
