After the former United States President Barrack Obama landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, he headed to the State House to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and later met the opposition chief Raila Odinga at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi.
During the private meeting between the former US president and Mr Odinga, the duo sat with their legs crossed just to indicate calmness and how gentle they were.
During a leg over leg sitting position, the dominant leg is always on top of the other one.
For the case of the two leaders, Raila's left leg was over the right leg even though he is right-handed.
Mr Obama did the same thing; despite being left-handed, his right leg was over the left one.
Raila's hands were on his knees as Obama sat with his hands calmly above his right leg.
According to Study Body Language, sitting with legs crossed might also be a sign of boredom.
However, for this scenario, Raila and Obama were smiling at each other and having a warm conversation as the opposition leader welcomed Obama home.
This is Obama's first visit to Kenya after heading the United States government for eight years and a visit to his fathers home in K'ogello in Siaya county after a long period.
