Kihika has picked a fight with Kinyanjui over what she terms ‘misplaced priorities’ by the county boss.

Speaking at a fundraising in Keringet, Kuresoi, the vocal senator questioned how the governor reached a decision to buy county buses ‘yet there are other pressing needs’.

“I went to the Senate and lobbied millions of shillings for our county, and that is the work you elected me to do. But I am disappointed that the governor bought courtesy buses when even Keringet hospital has no drugs,” the senator said.

She said she cannot be the governor’s cheering squad when things are not going well in the county.

“When you see me talking, I am articulating issues of the people who elected me. I cannot be a flower girl, the governor should know I am not a flower girl to cheer him,” Kihika said.

It is not the first time Kihika is raising concerns over the governor’s project which saw him purchase the two buses.

The buses are for hire to people, schools or organisations within the county when going for trips.
