Homa Bay County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has responded to claims that she is eying the governor's seat.
Speaking over the weekendWanga refuted claims after governor Cyprian Awiti's election win was nullified by the Court of Appeal.
The case is currently at the Supreme and Wanga was rumored to be eyeing the seat on an ODM ticket should the win be nullified again.
Wanga has since denied reports that she is planning to resign and vie for the seat.
“I want to make it clear here today that I was elected unopposed and, therefore, I still have the work of five years to complete,” said Wanga.
The vocal leader stated that the electorate will decide her fate in 2022 but not now.
Awiti' win is being challenged by former MP Oyugi Magwanga. Awiti had moved to the Supreme Court where he secured stay orders for the IEBC not to declare the seat vacant pending hearing and determination of his appeal.
