Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has maintained that he will not change his mind after 1,000 workers who missed their April salaries.
The county boss while speaking on Saturday at Tente SDA church said no one will pile pressure on him for the 1,000 workers get their salaries.
"I want to put is clear and straight that anyone who was recruited illegally will not receive salaries. Nyamira people elected me to develop Nyamira but not allow few people to be employed in the county to earn salaries without any job being done," Nyagarama stated.
He dismissed claims those who missed April salaries were as a result of an error.
The ODM Governor said threats that the 1,000 workers will move to court to challenge the decision to deny them salaries won't make him turn back.
"Cheap threats that the illegal workers will move to court won't make me allow them to get salaries. Otherwise, they are the ones I will send to jail," noted Nyagarama who also affirmed that he will deal with cartels who sneaked the names of the 1,000 workers into the county's payroll.
