The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna on Thursday came out to reveal that he has sued Kenya Airport Authority and Fly Emirates.
According to the controversial lawyer, he has sued the two for what they did to him during his detention and alleged assault that lead to his deportation.
Taking to his Twitter account Thursday morning, Miguna said he will fight for his rights back into the country.
“As I mark one year in forced exile, I've today filed a lawsuit against Kenya Airport Authority and @emirates for unlawful detention, assault, battery, torture and sedation. Although the @HakiKNCHR and my advocates have refused to ENFORCE court orders in my favour, I'll return,” said Miguna Miguna.
The Canada-based barrister got himself in hot soup on January 31, 2018, when he participated in the illegal swearing in of Raila Odinga as the People’s President.
He was deported twice in the same year but has never got a chance to return to the country even after the court ordered for his passport to be returned and him allowed into the country.
Miguna has been a great critic of President Uhuru and his Jubilee party as well as ODM leader Raila Odinga.
