Security has been tightened in Kogelo village, Siaya county ahead of former US President Barack Obama's visit.
Heavy security has been deployed Kogelo in Siaya County at the Sauti Kuu Foundation Centre. There is also a heavy security presence at Mama Sarah Obama's home.
At the Sauti Kuu Centre, at least half a dozen lorries carrying GSU officers could be spotted. There are also vehicles from the US Embassy in Nairobi.
The United States has also deployed officials from the secret service to oversee a smooth running of Obama’s visit.
Before gaining entry to the area, vehicles are being subjected to thorough checks at two roadblocks.
Among those said to be accompanying Obama during his Kenya trip are representatives from the National Basketball Association (NBA) led by Masai Ujiri, President of the Toronto Raptors.
Obama arrived in the country on Sunday and he was expected to hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nasa leader Raila Odinga at State House.
