Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has called for a halt of the ongoing exchange between Deputy President William Ruto and opposition boss Raila Odinga.
Speaking on JKL Show Wednesday evening, Atwoli urged the DP to stop attacking Raila in the ongoing debate regarding corruption and his (Raila) truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He said that the truce made Raila bigger than Ruto and any attempt to fight him might have terrible repercussions on him and future plans.
"Uhuru bringing Raila closer makes Raila Ruto's senior and you don't fight a person senior to you.
His behaviour of fighting anyone will only cost him. He can't fight the two, he will be the loser," he advised.
He advised the DP to remain silent on the union of the two and watch from a distance, stressing on the need for the DP to stop thumping his chest and switch to strategies.
"Ruto should keep quiet even if Raila has been accusing him of corruption.
If it has something to do with their possible battle in 2022 he must keep silent and even sent his people to silently settle their differences," he added.
Raila and Ruto are currently locked in a vocal fight which seems to have resurrected their initial enmity after months of silence.
