Chaos erupted in City Hall yet again as rival groups allied to Nairobi speaker Beatrice Elachi and Abdi Guyo.
Police were forced to intervene to prevent the Monday chaos from getting out of hand.
According to media reports, the chaos was triggered by members of county assembly who wanted to oust the majority leader Abdi Guyo from office, who had again been ousted last week and replaced with another MCA Dandora III MCA Charles Thuo but made a comeback.
The eruption of chaos at City Hall marks another escalation in the turf wars between Beatrice Elachi and Mr Abdi Guyo.
Beatrice Elachi was reinstated by court order as the speaker a few weeks ago, months after her fate hung in the balance.
She has for long accused Mr Guyo of working to have her removed from her plum position.
According to her, she is being fought because she stood up against unethical practices with regard to the use of funds.
Among the high profile leaders who have stood with her is Homa Bay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga who has warned the MCAs plotting the Nairobi speakers ouster.
Efforts at having the Jubilee conflict resolution structures activated to resolve the issues are yet to yield fruits.
